Modernizing healthcare digital infrastructure for a French organization

A healthcare organization based in France set out to modernize its digital infrastructure, improve medical imaging workflows, strengthen interoperability and build a genuinely connected healthcare ecosystem.

The client operated multiple digital healthcare systems supporting different clinical and administrative functions. The existing infrastructure limited interoperability between departments, making it harder for professionals to access patient information and diagnostic data efficiently.

The organization also wanted to modernize its Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to support increasing imaging volumes, improve performance, strengthen cybersecurity and prepare the platform for AI-assisted diagnostics.

PACS modernization

We upgraded the medical imaging environment with modern PACS capabilities:

  • Cloud-based image storage for scalable, secure management of diagnostic images
  • Faster image retrieval across departments
  • AI-ready architecture supporting future AI-assisted image analysis
  • Integration with Hospital Information Systems and clinical applications
  • Vendor-neutral archive (VNA) architecture for long-term interoperability
  • Enhanced cybersecurity for sensitive imaging data

A connected healthcare ecosystem

To eliminate data silos we integrated the client’s core systems into a unified digital infrastructure covering electronic health records, radiology and laboratory information systems, clinical document management, appointment scheduling, and billing and administration.

The integrated architecture enables secure information exchange between departments, giving healthcare professionals access to comprehensive patient information through connected clinical workflows.

Secure and scalable foundations

  • Scalable cloud infrastructure and secure APIs for system integration
  • Standardized healthcare data exchange
  • Role-based access control and encryption in transit and at rest
  • Audit logging and monitoring
  • Comprehensive testing and quality assurance

Results

A modernized PACS platform handling rising imaging volumes
Faster, more reliable access to diagnostic images
Improved interoperability between imaging and hospital applications
A vendor-neutral architecture supporting long-term flexibility
Enhanced cybersecurity for imaging and patient information
Connected workflows across clinical departments
Infrastructure prepared for AI-assisted imaging
A secure foundation for continued regulatory compliance

The result is an integrated, future-ready platform supporting efficient clinical workflows, secure medical data management and continued innovation across diagnostic imaging and healthcare operations.
